| GETTING STARTED Slide the mechanical winder off the tension bar. Slide the 2086 Professional onto the same bar. The gears do not engage. Plug it in. A brightly focused digital display, up and down arrows and a start bar get you going. .Set tension in tenths of a pound or kilo, then put it in memory for today or the next time you turn your machine on. |

How long will it take to install and can I do it myself? About five minutes. Slide the current spring tensioner off. Slide the 2086 onto the same bar. It does not engage any gears. Tighten the locking screw. Plug it in. Check our videohere. You can download our instruction booklethere. How do I pre-stretch while stringing? Pre-stretch is built in. Set the amount you want, if any. At 50 pounds plus 15% you will see the digital read-out go to 57.5 pounds, pause, then return to the set point. Is there a way to increase the tension for knots? Yes. Use the pre-stretch button (see above). What is a Diablo?  A bobbin in front of the gripper which feeds string level with the jaws and takes some stress off the string. Can I calibrate the machine? After every pull the machine resets its zero point and checks its electronics. If you have a scientific gauge to measure tension we can tell you how to calibrate the 2086 from the front panel. A spring calibrator is usually not accurate enough. At any time the machine can be sent to Wise USA for a free re-calibration checkup. We only charge for return shipping. |
