GETTING STARTED
Slide the mechanical winder off the tension bar.
Slide the 2086
Professional onto the same bar. The gears do
not engage. Plug it
in. A brightly focused digital display, up and down
arrows and a
start bar get you going. .Set tension in tenths of a pound or kilo,
then put it in memory for today or the next time you turn your
machine on.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long will it take to install and can I do it myself?
About five minutes. Slide the current spring tensioner off. Slide
the 2086 onto the same bar. It does not engage any gears. Tighten
the locking screw. Plug it in. Check our videohere. You can download our
instruction booklethere.
How do I pre-stretch while stringing?
Pre-stretch is built in. Set the amount you want, if any. At 50
pounds plus 15% you will see the digital read-out go to 57.5 pounds,
pause, then return to the set point.
Is there a way to increase the tension for knots?
Yes. Use the pre-stretch button (see above).
What is a Diablo?
A bobbin in front of the gripper which feeds string level with the
jaws and takes some stress off the string.
Can I calibrate the machine?
After every pull the machine resets its zero point and checks its
electronics. If you have a scientific gauge to measure tension we
can tell you how to calibrate the 2086 from the front panel. A
spring calibrator is usually not accurate enough. At any time the
machine can be sent to Wise USA for a free re-calibration checkup.

Calibrator
The 2090 is a sophisticated tool for measuring the accuracy of your tension head. It can be used on any stringing machine, electronic or manual. It displays in kilos or pounds and shuts itself off when it is not in use for more than 1 minute.
CALIBRATOR DIRECTIONS
Mount a racket on your machine. Cut a short length of string (even scrap will do). Pass the string through to the racket clamp furthest from the racket then loop it into one of the links in the 2090. Place the 2090 in the center of the not-strung racket. Use another small piece of string and pass it through the other link and to the open jaws of the gripper. This is done so the 2090 does not sag and present an inaccurate reading. Compare the 2090 reading to the setting on your machine. Adjust your machine if necessary. You can return the 2090 to Tennishead at any time for a free verification of its accuracy. Be sure to pack it well to prevent shipping damage.
